The 25th Annual White Privilege Conference

#WPC25

2024
Tulsa, OK

The White Privilege Conference (WPC)

Proven. Experienced. Action-Orientated.

WPC is an annual dynamic, challenging, comprehensive, and  collaborative  experience. As  has been our tradition for decades, we dive into the difficult concepts of privilege and oppression around race, gender, sexuality, class, disability, etc. Through the exploration of their role in all systems (banking, health care, justice, education, etc.), we offer solutions and team building strategies to work towards a more equitable world. We empower and equip individuals to work for equity and justice through self and social transformations.

Who Attends?

WPC is open to everyone and invites diverse perspectives. It's unique in the ability to bring together high school and college students, K-12 teachers, university faculty, social workers, counselors, non-profit staff, activists, healthcare workers, and members of spiritual, community, and corporate arenas. Everyone is welcome!

Annually, more than 1,000 attend from all over the US and across the world, including Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Germany, and New Zealand.

What's Our Strategy?

Addressing issues of inequality involves bringing together a consummate network of both national and regional leaders and practitioners to work and learn from each other. This synergistic collaboration produces both paradigm shifts and personal action. The WPC provides an opportunity for participants to discuss how white privilege, white supremacy, and oppression affect daily life, while giving strategies to address issues of privilege and oppression and advance social and economic justice. We invite you to continue the conversation.

White Privilege Symposium

#WPSyourregion

White Privilege Symposium (WPS)

To expand the learning and reach of WPC domestically, we developed the WPS in 2014. It's a sample of WPC and happens regionally according to interest. WPS allows a person or organization without time or resources to be part of the powerful collaborative experience on a smaller scale. As with the annual conference, each symposium addresses issues related to white supremacy, white privilege, and other forms of oppression.

In collaboration with a regional host committee, TPI organizes three regional symposiums per year. Each WPS explores what issues of power, privilege, and leadership look like specifically in that area.

Our goal is to create a local or regional collaborative project that facilitates connections, networks, and inspiration that lives on far beyond the WPS, leaving a social justice footprint. This consciousness moves a community away from “Diversity and Inclusion” and towards comprehensively challenging white supremacy, white privilege, and other forms of oppression.

Symposiums typically take place on a Friday night and all day Saturday.
